Katare Arts, Pune

Katare Arts is based in Pune, specifically at B-1 in the Natraj Society. Our building is called Shweta, and we are located in Karve Nagar with the pin code 411052. It’s a nice, residential feel around here, which is quite different from the busier industrial parts of Pune. We’ve been working from this spot for a long time. The space in B-1 is where all the creative stuff happens. It’s usually filled with different materials and art supplies, and it can get a bit disorganized when we are in the middle of a big project. We don’t have a professional showroom or a receptionist. Usually, you’ll just find us busy at our worktables. People in Natraj Society know us well by now. We aren’t trying to be a huge gallery; we just enjoy the arts and making things. Karve Nagar is a good place for us because it’s relatively calm, allowing us to focus on what we are creating. The Shweta building is easy to spot once you get into the society. We don’t use any fancy marketing talk because we’d rather just let the work exist on its own. Most days are spent with a cup of tea, some music, and whatever we are currently working on. It’s a humble setup, but it’s exactly what we need. We’ve seen Pune grow and change, but our corner of Karve Nagar stays pretty much the same for us.
