Art Flow Painting Studio

Our studio is up on the fifth floor, unit A/502, in the Muktai Apartment. We are located in Kothrud, specifically the Chinchwad area, right across from Ashish Garden. It’s actually a pretty nice spot because when we need a break, we can just look out the window and see the trees in the garden. Art Flow Painting Studio is mostly just a room filled with canvases, open jars of paint, and a lot of drop cloths covering the floor. The floor itself is splattered with so many different colors that you can’t really tell what the original tile looked like. We don’t have a fancy gallery setup or anything. There are stacks of sketches in the corners and the smell of turpentine is always lingering, even with the windows wide open. Being in an apartment building means we have to be a bit careful about making too much noise or dragging heavy things across the floor late at night. The neighbors are mostly quiet, so it’s a good environment for focusing. The elevator in Muktai Apartment is a bit slow and makes a weird clunking sound when it reaches the fifth floor, but it usually works. We spend most of our daylight hours here, moving from one piece to the next. It’s a messy, lived-in space that feels right for what we do. No pretense, just a lot of paint and hard work.
