Saraswat Arts & Prints

Our shop is tucked away in Navi Peth, right near Shaniwar Peth at number 495-96. It is an older building and you can usually smell the heavy scent of ink and paper before you even get through the front door. We have these large printing machines that have been running for quite a few years now. They make a lot of noise and take up almost all the room in the back, but they still get the job done right. Most days we are busy cutting down large sheets of paper or checking the proofs for someone’s wedding cards or a bunch of business flyers. It gets a bit cramped inside when we have a big shipment of paper stock coming in from the suppliers. We do not really have a formal front desk, just a simple wooden counter where we talk to whoever happens to walk in. Navi Peth is a busy area with a lot of traffic, so there is always some kind of noise coming in from the street outside. We have stayed at this spot because it is central and people in the neighborhood know where to find us. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit there waiting for it to come back on so we can finish the print run. It is not a high-tech facility, just a regular printing shop with stacks of paper everywhere and some ink stains on the floor that won't come out. We do a lot of manual work here.
