S S Arts

S S Arts is a small place we started here in Model Colony, right near Shivaji Chowk in Kalasgaon. We’ve been around Pune for a while now, mostly just handling the daily artistic needs that come our way. It isn't a big flashy studio or anything like that. Just a simple shop where we do our work. People usually find us when they are passing through the Chowk. We deal with various art projects and local requests. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded with materials, but that’s how it goes when you’re busy. We try to keep things straightforward and honest with everyone who walks in. It’s just a few of us here working day to day. We don't have fancy brochures. Most of our visitors come by word of mouth from neighbors. Being in Pune, specifically this part of Kalasgaon, means we see a lot of the same faces. It's nice to be part of the community like that. If you are looking for the shop, just look for the signs near the main junction. We keep regular hours, though sometimes we stay late to finish up a piece. We handle the brushes and the tools ourselves. Nothing is automated. It's all hand-done work. That's pretty much what we do here. No big corporate story, just a local art spot doing what we can for the people around here.
