You will find Mitesh Art Works at 794 Budhwar Peth. If you know the Peth areas, you know how crowded it gets. There are shops everywhere and people always moving. Our place is tucked in there with the rest of them. We do art stuff, mostly manual work that takes time. It’s not a quiet studio like you might see in movies. It’s a workshop. There is usually dust on the floor and scraps of materials everywhere. We use our hands a lot. Some days we are working on small pieces, and other days it’s bigger projects that take up all the floor space. Budhwar Peth has a certain rhythm to it. The noise of the street is always there in the background. We don't have a big showroom. If you want to see what we are doing, you just walk in and see it on the worktables. It’s a bit cramped, honestly. But we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We don't do much talking; we just get to the work. Some of the tools we use are quite old, but they are the ones we trust. People find us by word of mouth mostly. They know we are at 794 and they just show up. It’s a simple way of doing things. We stay until the light gets bad or the work is done for the day. That is just how the art business goes.
