Mayuresh Arts Circle

Mayuresh Arts Circle is a little different from your average business. We operate around Pimple Saudagar and Kondhwa Budruk, focusing on the arts and bringing people together. We don’t have one big, fancy gallery. It’s more of a community effort. We spend our time organizing things, talking to local artists, and figuring out how to get more people interested in creative work. Both Pimple Saudagar and Kondhwa are busy areas, so we are always moving between the two. It can be a bit hectic trying to manage everything, but we enjoy it. We aren't a corporate entity with a board of directors. We’re just a group of people who care about art and want to see it thrive in our neighborhoods. Our meetings are often informal, maybe in a small room or a local spot where we can sit and plan. We don't use fancy art world jargon. We just talk about what looks good and what people might enjoy. Sometimes things don't go perfectly, and an event might be a bit disorganized, but we always manage to pull it off. It’s about the people and the creativity, not about making a huge profit or having a polished image. We’ve been doing this for a while now and have made a lot of friends along the way. It’s a bit of a messy, beautiful life being involved with the arts here. We just keep at it because we think it’s important for the community.
