Life here in Veerapura Village is pretty slow compared to the big cities. My name is Pooja and I have this little setup here in Vadgaon under the name Ku. Pooja Parivale. It isn’t much to look at, just a small space where I handle my work. Most of the people who come by are neighbors or folks from the nearby farms. We don’t have fancy signs or big lights. Usually, I’m here most of the day, unless I have to go into the main town for supplies or to settle some paperwork. The address is simple enough to find if you are from around here, but outsiders sometimes get lost on the village roads. I’ve lived in this area all my life, so I know most of the families by name. That’s just how it is in a place like this. You don’t need a lot of marketing when everyone knows who you are and where you sit. Sometimes the rain makes the roads a bit muddy, and things slow down even more, but we manage. I started this because I wanted something of my own to do, and it’s been going okay so far. It’s just practical work, nothing too complicated. If someone needs something, they just walk in and ask me. I don’t keep strict office hours or anything like that. If the lights are on and the door is open, I’m probably inside working on something or just having tea and waiting for the next person to drop by for a chat.
