Florista

Florista is situated at Shop No 2 in the Shetiya CHS, which is right in the Aundh area. It is a pretty easy place to find because we are near the Gaikwad Petrol Pump and right next to the Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale. Being next to a sweet shop means there are always people walking past the window, especially during the festive seasons. The shop is usually full of buckets and different kinds of greenery. It can get a bit messy on the floor with all the stems and leaves we cut off during the day, but that is just how a flower shop looks. We don't have fancy decorations inside, just the cold storage for the stock and some workspace where we put things together. The Gujarat Housing Board colony is right there too, so we see a lot of the same faces from the neighborhood every morning. Sometimes the smell of the flowers is really strong, and other times it just smells like wet grass in here. We open up early to take the deliveries and then spend the rest of the time cleaning up and arranging what came in. It is a small space but it stays busy enough. People stop by on their way to the petrol pump or after buying their snacks next door. It’s a simple local shop and we like being part of this little corner in Aundh.
