St James Court Beach Bar

We are right here at the St James Court Beach Resort in Chinna Kalapet. Most people know us because we're just across from Pondicherry Engineering College. It’s a pretty simple spot. We serve drinks and snacks by the water. The breeze is usually nice in the evenings. We’ve been here a while now. Some days it gets busy with students or folks staying at the resort, other times it is quiet. There isn't much to say, we just keep the place running. You can find us easily enough if you're heading toward the beach side of the road. We try to keep things chilled. The chairs are out, the sun goes down, and that’s about it. If you are around the college area and want to sit by the sand, this is where we are. We don't have fancy lights or anything. Just a beach bar. We open up every day. It's nothing too complicated. We’re part of the resort grounds but anyone can walk in. The staff here mostly lives nearby. We just do our work and go home. If you need a place to sit for an hour, the view is okay. The sand gets everywhere, but that is part of being a beach bar. We spend time sweeping it out. The menu has what you'd expect. Nothing wild. Sometimes the music is a bit loud, sometimes it's just waves. We don't do big events, just a spot for a drink. It’s a short walk from the main gate. Chinna Kalapet is a decent area. Not as crowded as town. People like that.
