S 3 Bar

S 3 Bar is located inside the Richmond Hotel on Labour Donnais Street in Pondicherry. We are lucky to be so close to the beach and the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. This part of town has a lot of history and tourists are always walking by. The bar itself is a simple setup. We aren't trying to be a fancy club like the ones you see in big cities. It’s a place where you can get a beer or a drink without a lot of drama. We get a mix of people staying at the hotel and folks just coming in from the street. Being near the Ashram means we have to be a bit mindful of the atmosphere, but the beach side of things keeps it casual. The building is older, so it has that Pondicherry feel with the high ceilings. Sometimes the salt air from the sea makes things age a bit faster, but we keep it tidy. The staff knows most of the regular drinks by heart. We don't have a massive menu with things you can't pronounce. It’s just basic stuff that people like. If you are walking around the French Quarter and need to rest your feet, we are right there. No need to dress up or anything. Just come in as you are and sit for a while.
