Eaudevie Bar

Eaudevie Bar is located inside Maison Perumal on Perumal Koil Street. We are at No 58, which is right near the Perumal Koil temple in Pondicherry. The building itself is an old house that was turned into a hotel, and the bar is a small part of that. It has a bit of an old feel to it because of the architecture in this part of town. We are not a loud place with bright lights. It is more about sitting down and having a drink after a long day. The street outside is usually quiet, especially in the evenings. We get travelers staying at the hotel and some people from the neighborhood who know we are here. The wooden shutters and the courtyard make it feel like you are away from the main traffic. We do not have a huge menu, just enough to keep people happy while they talk. Our staff has been here for a while and they know how to take care of the space. It is a simple setup really. We just make sure the bottles are stocked and the glasses are clean. Pondicherry has a lot of places to go, but we like our little corner on Perumal Koil Street. It feels like a real part of the old town. No flashy signs, just a door and a quiet room where you can relax for a while. It is a slow pace but that is why people like it.
