Hotel Windsor Castle-Salem

It might seem a bit confusing because the name says Salem, but we are actually located at The Dune Eco Beach Resort in Pudhukuppam. We’re right by Keelputhupet, which is just past Pondicherry University. Being out here in Tamil Nadu, the air is always salty and there’s usually a breeze coming off the water. It’s a very different vibe than being in a city hotel. We deal with a lot of people coming through the university or folks just looking to see the coast. The resort area is spread out, and we try to keep things feeling natural and not too stiff. The staff here are mostly local people who know the best spots for a quiet walk or where to get the freshest fish. We spend a lot of our time making sure the rooms are ready and the grounds aren't getting overtaken by the sand and sea air. It’s a constant battle with the elements, but we don’t mind. Life moves a bit slower out here in the 605014 area. We see students, families, and solo travelers all year round. Sometimes the monsoon rains make things a bit tricky, but that’s just life on the coast. We don't have fancy uniforms or corporate handbooks that we quote from. We just show up, do our jobs, and try to make sure everyone who visits feels like they’ve found a nice, honest place to stay for a night or two.
