Hotel Thaayamma Ac Chettinadu Multicuisine is located at No 42 Montorsier Street in Pondicherry. We are right near the Chinna Manikoondu clock tower and Vasanth & Co, so we’re pretty easy to spot if you’re walking around the 605001 area. Our place is a bit of a mix because we have rooms for people to stay in and we also serve a lot of Chettinadu food. The kitchen is usually the busiest part of the building, and you can often smell the spices all the way out on the street. We spend a lot of time cleaning the tables and making sure the air conditioning is running right, especially when it gets hot outside. The staff here is a small group, and we’ve all been working together for a long time. It feels more like a home than a big business most of the days. We get a lot of locals coming in just for a meal, along with the guests who are staying upstairs. Montorsier Street is a nice place to be, and we like being close to the center of town. Sometimes we run out of certain ingredients and have to dash over to the market, but that's just part of the job. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations, just some simple furniture and a lot of good food. It’s a busy life, but we enjoy seeing people enjoy their stay and their meals.
