Hotel Sri Kamatchi

You’ll find us at 85 Sithananda Nagar on the Villianur Main Road, right in the Natesan Nagar part of Pondicherry. We are very close to the Indira Gandhi Statue and the ICICI Bank, so most people don't have a hard time finding where we are. Pondicherry is a famous place, but our side of town is more about the everyday life of the people who live here rather than just the tourist spots. At Hotel Sri Kamatchi, we just focus on providing a roof and a bed for people who are traveling through. It can get quite loud with the traffic coming off the main road, but that’s the trade-off for being so centrally located. We’ve had the business for a while, and the building shows its age in some spots, but we keep it clean. We aren't the kind of place with a fancy restaurant or a swimming pool. We just have simple rooms and a small staff who are usually busy cleaning or helping guests with their bags. A lot of people stay here because it’s easy to get to other parts of town from the statue junction. We see a lot of local travelers and families who are visiting the nearby temples or doing some shopping. It’s an honest, no-frills kind of place. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just open the gates every morning and do our best to make sure the guests have what they need.
