Hotel Amudha

We've been here at Hotel Amudha for a while now. If you're coming down Cuddalore Main Road, you can't really miss us. We are right at number 86 in Thavalakuppam. It’s pretty busy around here since we’re so close to the Thavalakuppam Bus Stand. People are always coming and going. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the buses, but that's just how it is. We try to keep things simple. Most of the folks who stop by are locals or travelers just passing through Pondicherry. We don't have anything fancy. It's just a regular place where you can sit down for a bit. My staff and I are usually busy from early morning. We handle everything ourselves, from cleaning to making sure the kitchen is running. It's hard work, but we've gotten used to it over the years. Some days are faster than others. When the weather is hot, everyone wants a cold drink or something light. We see the same faces almost every day, which is nice. It makes the place feel more like part of the neighborhood. The bus stand being right there means there's always someone looking for a quick bite before they catch their ride. We don't spend much time on decorations or anything like that. We just focus on getting the food out and making sure there's a chair available. It's a plain building, nothing special to look at from the outside, but it works for us and the people who live around Thavalakuppam.
