You can find Hotel Kamatchi Biryani Veedu on Labiurdonnais Street. We are in the White Town area of Pondicherry, which is usually a bit calmer than the main market parts of the city. We are situated near the Old Law College. Most people come here specifically because they are looking for biryani. It is our main thing. We don't try to be a multi-cuisine place with dozens of options. We just have a few things that we make every day in the back. The building is a bit older, like many in this part of town, but it works for us. Inside, it is just a plain dining area with chairs and tables that have seen a lot of use over the years. We get a mix of locals who live nearby and some tourists who wander into White Town. It is not a place for a long, fancy dinner. It is more for when you are hungry and want a plate of food that tastes like it was made in a real kitchen. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just open the doors in the morning and start cooking. The staff is small and we mostly just talk to the customers like neighbors. It is a straightforward business. We appreciate the people who have been coming to us for years. It stays pretty simple here and we like to keep it that way for everyone who visits.
