You can find us at No 104, S V Patel Salai. Pondicherry is a nice place, and we’ve been part of it for a long time. Hotel Surguru isn't one of those new boutique places. We are more of a traditional spot. The building is right on the main road, so it’s easy to spot. We have a good number of rooms. They aren't modern or stylish, just regular hotel rooms with wooden furniture and tile floors. We have a lot of families stay with us. Our staff is mostly people from around here who have worked with us for a long time. We try to keep the place tidy. Sometimes the street noise comes inside, but it usually settles down at night. We don't have a lot of complicated rules. Check-in is straightforward. We have a space where people can sit, but it’s nothing fancy. The location is the main thing really, since you can walk to a lot of places from S V Patel Salai. We don’t spend money on big ads or shiny brochures. People come back because they know us and they know what the rooms are like. It’s a steady business. We just do our work every day, cleaning rooms and talking to guests. It’s a simple life running a hotel in this town. We’re just a local business trying to do things right for the folks who visit. We usually have some cool water ready at the desk for people arriving.
