You’ll find us down at 81 Gurunanak Nagar, right in Lane No. 2. Allahabad gets pretty hot, especially in the summer months, so our computer rooms are the place everyone wants to be. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in the lane sometimes if someone parks a bike the wrong way. We have been running these IT courses for the young people around here for a while. It is mostly guys and girls from the neighborhood trying to learn how to code or fix systems. The walls inside could probably use a new coat of paint, but we spend most of the budget on keeping the internet running and the machines working. There is a small tea stall just around the corner where the students go during their breaks to talk about their projects or just complain about the exams. It’s not a big fancy campus with a gate and guards, just a regular building where people come to study. You can hear the neighbors talking and the dogs barking outside while you’re trying to focus on a screen. Sometimes the fans make a bit too much noise, but you get used to it after a week. It feels like a small community here in the lane. We know the parents and we see the same faces every morning. It’s just a practical place to get some skills. The furniture is basic and the floor is concrete, but it serves the purpose.
