Raj Vidya Kender

Raj Vidya Kender is located at 2K/2 Association Road, right in the George Town area of Allahabad. This part of the city is quite old and has its own charm. Our building is pretty modest, sitting on a road where people are always walking by on their way to work or the market. We use this space for gatherings and for people to come and sit quietly. It’s not a place for business deals or high-pressure work. We keep things very calm inside. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to most of us who spend time here. We have a small group that helps keep the place running, mostly volunteers from the neighborhood. You won't find any slick brochures or salespeople here. We just have some chairs, some books, and a lot of quiet. Association Road can get a bit noisy with the traffic, but once you step inside, it’s a different world. We’ve been a part of the George Town community for quite a while now. People know us as the place where you can just be yourself for a bit. We don't have any big plans to expand or become some huge organization. We just want to keep the doors open for anyone who feels like stopping by. It’s just a simple, local place for the people of Allahabad. We often sit together and talk about how the neighborhood has changed over the years since we first opened our doors here.
