Our college is situated on the corner of Station Road and Jail Road in Naini. It’s a very active part of Allahabad, so there is always something going on outside our windows. You can hear the trains sometimes and the traffic is pretty constant throughout the day. We have been here for a good number of years, providing a place for students to come and study. The building is older and has that lived-in feel, which some people like. We don't have a lot of modern frills, but the classrooms have what is needed. Students come from all over the local area, often arriving by cycle or walking from the station. The staff room is usually a mess of books and papers, which is how we like it. We spend our days going from one lecture to the next. Sometimes we have to deal with leaky roofs when the rain gets really heavy, but we manage. It’s not a corporate environment at all; it’s more like a busy house where everyone is trying to learn. We have a small area where students hang out during their free time. The atmosphere is generally quiet during exam times, but otherwise, it's quite lively. We just try to keep things grounded and focus on the books. It’s a simple life here on the road between the station and the jail, just teaching and learning day after day.
