G P M Inter College is located out in Shitalpur, specifically in the Kamla Nagar area of Allahabad. Our zip code is 211002. It is a bit of a distance from the main city center, which makes it a little quieter out here. We have students coming in from the surrounding villages and the local neighborhood. The college building has been standing for quite some time, so it has that old-school feel to it. We do not have air conditioning or anything fancy like that. Just ceiling fans that hum away during the hot summer months. We focus on the intermediate years, which is a busy time for the young people here. They are all trying to pass their exams and figure out what to do next with their lives. The staff here is pretty down-to-earth. We spend our mornings checking the attendance registers and making sure the classrooms are ready for the day. There is a small playground area where students hang out during their lunch break. It is nothing special, just some open space with some grass and trees. We handle all our own administration right here on site. If someone has a problem with their fees or needs a certificate, they just come to the small window at the front office. We are not a big corporate institution. We are just a local college trying to provide a place for kids to study without having to travel too far into Allahabad. It is a simple life, but it keeps us busy.
