Sarju Prasad Inter College

This college is situated in Amipur village, which is near Girdkot in the Allahabad district. It is quite a rural setting, away from the loud noises of the main city center. Most of the students who study here are from the surrounding farms and small villages. We have a basic building and some open grounds where the students gather during their lunch breaks or before classes start. As an inter college, we see a lot of local kids coming through to finish their higher secondary education. Life in this part of Allahabad is a bit slower than in the town. The roads can get quite muddy during the monsoon season, but the students still manage to make it to their desks. We don't have any fancy facilities or corporate-style management. It’s just a few classrooms, old wooden benches, and teachers who have lived in this area for a long time. It is very important for the families in Amipur to have a school nearby so their children don't have to travel long distances. We have been part of this community for years. The office staff stays busy with the manual registers and all the government paperwork. Sometimes the power goes out in the heat of the afternoon, so we just keep the doors open for the breeze. It is a very normal, local school where we know most of the parents by name. We just try to keep the place running and the students learning every day.
