Vidya Charity Foundation

Vidya Charity Foundation is run out of a spot in Bari-Kabaiya. You have to look for Vidya Kumari’s house to find us. It’s a very local operation, deeply rooted in this small area. We don't have a big office building or any signs pointing the way. Most people who need to find us already know where we are. It’s a quiet neighborhood for the most part, which is nice when we need to focus on paperwork. The rooms are simple, just like any other house around here. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment. There are just some tables and chairs and plenty of notebooks. We spend our days going through things and making sure everything is in order. Bari-Kabaiya isn’t a place that gets a lot of visitors from outside, so it’s mostly just us and the locals. We drink a lot of tea while we work. Sometimes we have to go out into the village to talk to people, but mostly we are right here at the house. It’s not a fast-paced environment. We take things one day at a time. It feels more like a family thing than a formal office. We like it that way. No one is wearing suits here. We just wear our regular clothes and get on with the day’s work. It’s a very humble setting but we stay busy with the local needs.
