We’ve been here in this quiet part of the colony for a good while. It’s a charitable setup, but we don't like to make a big show of it. We just look at what people in the community might be lacking and try to fill those gaps. There are a few of us who manage the daily tasks, and it can get pretty busy with people coming in and out. The building, Rohini Nivas, is easy to find if you know the area. We deal with all sorts of requests for help. Sometimes it's about food, other times it's about helping kids with their schooling. We don't have a lot of formal procedures that get in the way. If someone needs help and we can do something, we just do it. Patna is a big city, but Patliputra Colony has its own feel, and we’re glad to be a part of it. We spend our days answering calls, meeting visitors, and organizing our small resources. It’s not a high-pressure environment, but we take our work seriously. We aren't looking to expand into some giant organization. We just want to keep doing what we’re doing right here where we are needed most. It’s about being a neighbor who actually cares. We keep our doors open and try to be useful to everyone who stops by.
