Arthik Atma Nirbharta Samajik Vikas Abhikaran

We’ve been working out of the Swami SahajanadSmarak Bhawan on Vidyapati Marg for quite a while now. Arthik Atma Nirbharta Samajik Vikas Abhikaran is basically just a group of us trying to do something useful in our local area. It isn't a fancy office or anything like that. People mostly know where to find us because the building is a bit of a landmark around here. The name is a mouthful, we know. Most of the time we just focus on the daily tasks and talking to the people who drop by the office. It gets busy during the middle of the week, especially when the weather is nice. We spend a lot of our time just figuring out how to manage the different things we've got going on. There’s always paperwork piled up on the desks and sometimes the tea runs out before noon. It’s just how things go when you’re right in the middle of everything on Vidyapati Marg. We like being part of the community here. You see the same faces every day and you get to know the neighbors. It’s not about being some big corporate thing. We just wanted to have a place where we could work and maybe help out a bit where it’s needed. The Bhawan has its quirks, like the lights that flicker sometimes, but it’s home for us. We just keep showing up and doing what needs doing. It's a simple life, really.
