Arnav

Arnav is a small NGO based in Nawab Colony, which is over in the Tilkamanjhi area of Bhagalpur. Arpana Singh is our secretary and she is usually the person you will find handling most of the daily tasks and paperwork around here. We have been operating out of this part of Bihar for quite a while now. The colony is a pretty standard residential neighborhood, which makes our office feel more like a home than a sterile workplace. We don't have any fancy signage or a big professional front desk to greet people. Usually, people just knock on the door and walk right in to talk to us. It is quite informal, but that is just the way things usually go around here. We spend our time working on various projects, mostly just trying to help out where we can in the local community. The rooms are filled with old wooden desks and a lot of paper that needs filing. Bhagalpur can get incredibly hot during the summer months, so we almost always have a ceiling fan going full blast while we work. We aren't part of some huge international network; we are just a local group of people. Neighbors know Arpana and they know exactly where to find us if they need something. We don't really follow a strict corporate schedule every day. If there is work to be done, we just stay until it's finished. It's simple.
