Shreyas Path Foundation

Our group, Shreyas Path Foundation, is based out of Sarastitola in the village of Sarasti. It's part of the Itarhi block in the Buxar district. If you know the area, it's a small place where everyone pretty much knows each other. We work out of a simple building here. It's not much to look at, but it serves our needs just fine. We mostly focus on what’s happening right here in the village and the nearby areas of Itarhi. There are a few of us who handle the day-to-day stuff. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or computers. Most of our notes are kept in notebooks that we carry around. It gets pretty hot here in the summer, so we usually get most of our work done early in the morning or late in the evening when it cools down. People stop by quite often just to chat or ask for a bit of help with something. We try to listen and do what we can. It’s not a complicated operation. We just saw a need in our community and decided to do something about it ourselves. Sometimes things go well, and sometimes we run into hurdles, but that’s just life in a rural area. We don’t have big goals of being famous; we just want to make sure the work gets done correctly for the people living around us here in Buxar.
