We chose this spot because it’s right in the middle of everything. People from all over the city come to the mandi, so we get to see a lot of different faces. Our foundation isn't some big, unreachable organization. We are just a few people working out of a small space near the market. Sometimes the smell of fresh vegetables and the sound of vendors shouting fills our rooms, but we like it. It reminds us why we are here. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. Mostly, we just try to be helpful to the people who live and work in the Chirayatand area. It’s not always easy to keep things running smoothly in such a hectic location, and we definitely make our share of mistakes. But we are learning as we go. We don't have a glossy brochure or a fancy pitch. We just have our doors open for whoever needs to stop by.
