Sevarti Foundation

We are located in Mathiapur, over in Danapur. Our office is actually at Smt Sushila Devi’s house, she is the wife of Shankar Prasad. It’s a local setup, nothing formal or fancy. We didn't want a big office in the middle of the city. Being here in the neighborhood makes more sense for us. We know the people around here and they know us. Most of the work we do is just helping out where it’s needed. Sometimes it’s organizing things for the kids or helping someone with a problem. We don't have a big staff. It’s mostly just a few of us. We sit around the table and figure things out. No corporate meetings or long reports. We prefer just getting to it. Danapur is a busy place, but our corner in Mathiapur stays pretty grounded. We’ve been doing this for a bit now. People stop by at all hours, which is fine. Sushila Devi keeps things organized as best as she can. We don't have a website with a bunch of photos. We just have our door. If you need us, you know where to find the house. It’s been a learning process for us. We make mistakes sometimes, but we try to fix them quickly. It’s just a regular local foundation run by regular people. We don't try to be anything else. The street noise is always there but we are used to it by now and just keep working.
