Our organization, Sangamsmridhi Livelihood Foundation, is based in Simri, Buxar. We are located at C/O Bhardwaj Kunwardumri. The pin code is 802116. This is a rural part of the country where life revolves around the seasons and the land. Most of the people we work with are farmers or laborers who live in Dumri and the nearby villages. We aren't some big corporate entity from the city. We are locals who understand what it's like to live and work in Buxar. We started this because we saw that people needed a bit of extra help with their livelihoods. It’s not about giving handouts, it’s about figuring out how to make things work better for everyone here. Our office is just a simple room where we keep our records and meet with people. It’s often dusty because of the winds coming off the fields, but that’s just part of life here. We don’t have a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just help people find ways to earn a better living. Sometimes that means talking about crops or small trade ideas. We listen more than we talk most days. The people around Simri are hardworking and we just try to support that energy. It’s honest, slow work and we are happy to be doing it right here where we live. There’s no big mystery to it, just neighbors helping neighbors get through the week.
