Ranju Singh Foundation

Our foundation is based out of the house of Amar Nath Singh in the village of Manzil Mubarak. It is a quiet place in the Kalyanpur area of Samastipur. To get here, you have to travel through the local roads that get a bit dusty in the summer months. The village is small, and most people around here know each other by name. We don't have a big sign or anything like that, just the address 848301. Most of the work happens right here in the house or sometimes out on the porch if the weather is nice. Kishunpur is the nearest landmark people use when they are giving directions to visitors. Life moves a bit slower in this part of Samastipur than it does in the bigger cities. You’ll see cows grazing nearby and kids playing in the lanes after school. Inside, we have a few rooms set aside for our files and the few people who help us out. It’s a family-run kind of feel because it’s a residence too. We drink a lot of tea while we sit and talk about what needs to be done. The roof is flat, and sometimes we go up there to get a bit of air. It’s just a regular village home where we try to keep things organized. There isn't any fancy furniture, just what was already here and a few extra benches for when guests come.
