Playful Motherhood Foundation

Our foundation is located in the Purani Qualla area of Siwan. Mohd. Noor Alam is the person who looks after the place every day. Playful Motherhood Foundation is a small setup where we mostly focus on mothers and their young children. Siwan is a place with a lot of history, but it also has a lot of young families who need a little bit of extra support now and then. We are not doctors or high-level experts with a lot of training. We are just local people who have seen how hard it can be to raise a child when you do not have many resources. We try to make life a bit easier for the moms around our neighborhood. Sometimes that means providing a safe place for the kids to play or just sharing some basic health tips that we have learned. Our office is not much to look at. It is just a single room with some toys and a few chairs for people to sit on. We do not have a big marketing budget, so we mostly just talk to people at the local market or outside the mosque. It is all very local and personal. We see the same faces every single day. We do not use any fancy terms for the work we do. We just want the mothers here to feel like they are not alone. It is a lot of work, but seeing a happy child makes it worth it. That is why we stay here.
