P Vishwanath Charitable Foundation

P Vishwanath Charitable Foundation is tucked away in the Arah Garden Residency on Arah Garden Road. This is in the Phulwari area of Patna. If you have ever been to Patna, you know how busy the streets can get, so our spot in the residency is a bit quieter than the main road. We started this foundation in memory of P Vishwanath because he always liked helping people out. We are not a big organization with lots of employees. It is just a few of us who volunteer our time after our regular jobs are done. We do all sorts of small charity work. One day we might be giving out blankets to people sleeping near the station, and another day we might be helping a local student pay for their books. We do not have a fixed schedule or a fancy office. Most of our stuff is stored in a small room at the residency. It is a bit cluttered with donations and old files, but we know where everything is. We do not spend money on advertising or shiny brochures. We would rather use every rupee we have to actually buy things people need. It is a very simple way of doing things, and it keeps us busy. We just want to keep the spirit of kindness alive here in Phulwari without making it into a big corporate thing. We are just regular people helping regular people.
