Nutan Udya Foundation

Nutan Udya Foundation is located at house number 102 in the New Area of Krishnapuri. This is over in Warisaliganj, which is part of the Nawada district in Bihar. We have been here for a while now. The neighborhood is mostly families and small shops. We chose to work from here because it is where we grew up and we know the people. The name Nutan Udya means a new beginning, and that is what we want for the young folks around here. There are not many jobs in Nawada, so we try to help people figure out how to start their own small businesses or learn a skill that can earn them some money. The office is just a room in the house with a couple of old desks and a fan that squeaks when it is on high. We do not have any big grants. We just do what we can with what we have. Sometimes we organize a small workshop or just have a meeting to talk about local issues like the roads or the water supply. It is not very organized all the time, and we often have to change our plans at the last minute because someone’s family needs something. But we are here every day, and the neighbors know they can just knock on the door if they need help with anything. We are just trying to build a better future for Krishnapuri folks.
