Nilimasaroj Welfare Foundation

Our foundation is named Nilimasaroj Welfare Foundation. We operate out of Patna, specifically in the Kankarbagh area. You can find us at the home of Smt. Nilima Saroj and Anil Kumar in Bhojpur Colony. This isn't a corporate office with a reception desk. It’s a home where we’ve set aside space to work on community projects. We started this because we’ve lived here a long time and saw that some people were falling through the cracks. In a place like Kankarbagh, there’s always someone who needs a little extra help. We aren't experts with fancy degrees; we’re just neighbors who decided to do something. Our days are filled with meetings, mostly just sitting on the porch or in the living room talking to people from the colony. We don't have a big marketing budget or a polished image. Sometimes we forget to file things away perfectly, but the work gets done. We focus on the welfare of the people right around us because that’s who we know best. It’s a bit of a grassroots thing, very local and very personal. We like it that way because it keeps us connected to the ground. If you’re ever in Bhojpur Colony, you might see us out and about. We’re just regular folks trying to make our neighborhood a slightly better place for everyone.
