We are located over at Keshabganjchatty, right across from the Raja Petrol Pump. If you know the area, it's easy to find because everyone knows that pump. We share some space with Nazim Uddin Mondal. Most days start early with someone opening the shutters and getting the fans going before it gets too hot. It’s a busy spot with all the cars and trucks pulling in for fuel across the road. Inside the office, things are pretty basic. We have some metal desks and a lot of folders stacked up on the shelves. People from the village come by quite often. They usually have some paperwork they need help with or they want to talk about things happening in the local community. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. Whoever is free just pulls up a chair and talks to whoever walked in. It gets a bit dusty being so close to the main road, but we keep the place tidy enough. We spend our afternoons going through requests and trying to figure out how to make things work with what we have. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It’s not a corporate setup at all. We just do our bit every day. Most of the neighbors know us by name now. Sometimes we run out of pens and someone has to run down to the shop. It’s just how it is here.
