Micsa Foundation

Micsa Foundation is located over in the Patna Sadar area, specifically near Loha Ka Pul and the Sabji Mandi. Smt Gajala Ahmad is the one we work with here. Being right by the vegetable market means it’s always loud and full of life outside our doors. It’s a real local spot. You can hear the vendors calling out all day long. We like being in the middle of everything though. It makes us feel connected to the daily life of the city. The office itself is quite old and has that lived-in feel. We don’t have air conditioning in every room, so it gets a bit warm in the summer. We just use fans and keep the windows open. The 800008 zip code is a historical part of Patna and we are proud to be based here. People stop by after doing their shopping to ask us questions or see what we are up to. We don't have any fancy brochures. We just talk to whoever walks in. It’s a small operation, mostly just family and a few friends helping out. We do our own cleaning and handle all the paperwork ourselves. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we have a lot of visitors, but we make it work. If you know where the iron bridge is, you can find us easily. We are just a local group trying to make things a little better.
