Meeramma Foundation

We operate the Meeramma Foundation out of Pakariyaharsidhi village, right at Lal Babu Pandey’s place. This is in the Harsidhi Panch area, under the Harsidhi block with the pincode 845422. It is a very specific part of the region, and we have been here for quite some time now. Working in a village like this means you know everyone and everyone knows you. We don’t have a fancy office building or a suite of rooms. We just have a simple space where we can gather and do our work. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait it out, or we just work by the light from the windows. It is a very human way of doing things. We don't use a lot of big words or have complicated meetings. Usually, we just sit down, talk about what is needed for the day, and then we get to it. Lal Babu Pandey has been kind enough to let us use this space, and it has served us well. The air is fresh out here, though the roads can be a bit rough during the rainy season. We don't mind that much because it is home. We handle our responsibilities as they come up. We are just local people trying to make things work from our small corner of Harsidhi. It is basic, it is real, and it is how we like to run things. Every day is different but we keep going through the tasks and we make sure the foundation stays active.
