Jan Bahaar Foundation

Jan Bahaar Foundation is set up on the ground floor of Purnendu Prasad’s house. We are right over by the BMP 16 area in Khagaul. It is pretty easy to find since the P.N.B. bank is right there in the same vicinity. Working out of a ground floor space is nice because people can just walk in without having to climb a bunch of stairs. Patna gets crowded and noisy most days, but our little corner in Khagaul stays focused on the tasks we have. We have a few rooms where we keep our files and meet up to talk about what is next on the list. It is not some corporate setup with a receptionist waiting out front. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just looks up and says hello. We spend a lot of time just talking through things and making sure we haven't missed any small details. The house itself has been around for some time, and being on the ground floor means we see a lot of the street life outside. Sometimes it is quiet, other times it is a bit of a mess with traffic and horns, but that is just Patna for you. We have got the Jan Bahaar Foundation things tucked into the office space there. It is practical for what we need. We do not spend money on fancy decorations because we don't see the point. Just some sturdy tables and enough light to read.
