Inqalab Foundation

Our place is located at Mohammad Husain’s house. He is the son of Mohammad Nizamuddin, and the foundation is run right out of there. It is right in the middle of the village of Panchmir. We have lived in this village our entire lives, so setting up the Inqalab Foundation here just felt like the right thing to do. There really isn't much to see if you come by, just a small space where we meet up and talk about what needs doing in the Tola-Panchmir area. Mostly, we just try to look out for each other. Sometimes we help with local issues or just give people a place to gather when they need to talk. It is very quiet out here, though news usually travels fast. We don't have fancy desks or computers everywhere like you see in the cities. It is mostly just us sitting down and discussing what is going on with our neighbors. If someone has a problem, they usually know exactly where to find us. We don't really bother with advertisements. Most people just walk over to the house when they see the light on. It has been this way for a while now. We keep things simple because that is how life is in our village. Mohammad Husain keeps the records mostly. We spend our mornings talking to the elders and seeing if the kids have what they need. It’s just a local effort by local people.
