Indydot Foundation

Indydot Foundation is run out of the home of Smt. Parmila Devi in G. Nagar, Kankarbagh. This is a residential part of Patna, so it’s much quieter than the main roads near the station. We like it that way because it feels more like a community effort than a business. Kankarbagh is a huge area, and we’ve lived here for a long time, so we know the people around G. Nagar quite well. The foundation operates from a couple of rooms at the front of the house. It’s where we sit and talk about what we can do for the neighborhood. We don’t have a big staff or any fancy titles. It’s mostly just us and a few volunteers who stop by when they have some free time. We focus on small, local things that make a difference to the families living nearby. Patna can be a very busy and chaotic city, but inside this house, we try to keep things calm and organized. We don't have a big marketing budget, so most people hear about us through word of mouth. Someone tells a neighbor, and then they come by for a chat. We aren't looking to expand into a giant corporation. We are happy right here in Sampatchak, doing what we can with the resources we have. It’s honest, local work. Some days we just spend time helping someone fill out a form or giving advice on where to go for help. It is just a few of us trying our best.
