Hanumate Shiksha Sansthan Foundation

We are located in Ram Nagar, over in the New Basti area of Maner. Our setup is at Sirtaj Ranjan Prasad’s place, which is where most of the work for Hanumate Shiksha Sansthan Foundation happens. It’s a lively part of Maner, and there’s always something going on in the streets outside. We have a couple of rooms dedicated to the foundation. It’s not very big, but it’s enough for the three or four of us who are usually here. We spend a lot of time talking to local families and figuring out what needs doing. Maner is a place where everyone knows their neighbor, so we don’t really need to advertise. People just know where we are. We keep our files in a big metal cabinet and use a small wooden table for meetings. It’s nothing fancy, just a practical space to get things done. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, so we end up doing a lot of things the old-fashioned way with pen and paper. We started this because we wanted to do something useful right here in our own town. It’s a lot of work, and some days are longer than others, but it’s part of the job. We try to keep things simple and honest. Being based in New Basti gives us a good look at what's happening on the ground every day. It is just the way we like to operate, being close to the people.
