Greenzone Ujjawal Foundation

Greenzone Ujjawal Foundation operates out of an apartment in Patna. We are located at A/402, which is in the Prashray building of the Uma Raj Apartment complex. This is over in the Rupaspura area, near Khajpura. Being in an apartment means we have a bit more of a quiet, private space compared to a storefront on the street. It’s a standard residential building, so you have to go up to the fourth floor to find us. The office is basically a converted flat. It has a small kitchen area and a main room where we’ve set up our computers and files. It feels very lived-in. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or a waiting room with magazines. People usually just sit on the sofa if they have to wait. We like being in Rupaspura because it’s a developing area with a lot of families around. It makes the foundation feel like it’s part of a real neighborhood. We don't go for any of that polished corporate talk. We just speak plainly about what needs to be done. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, and we have to walk the stairs, but that’s just part of being here. It’s a simple, practical setup in Uma Raj Appt. where we can focus on our tasks without too much distraction from the busy Khajpura traffic outside.
