Gautam Budha Ashram Foundation

Gautam Budha Ashram Foundation is based at Sri Uma Sankar Parsad’s place in Ujjain Tola. We are in the Laxmi Parsad Ujain Tola area, which is a fairly quiet spot. We call it an ashram because we want it to be a place where people can feel a bit of peace and get help without any pressure. It’s not a business where we are trying to sell anything. We just provide a space for the community to come together. Some days it’s very quiet and we just spend time cleaning up the grounds or talking to a few visitors. Other days, it can get quite busy with families from the neighborhood coming by. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture or modern gadgets. Most of what we have is old and has been donated by people around here. We try to live by simple principles and help out whoever walks through the gate. Whether they need a bit of food, some advice, or just a place to sit for a while, they are welcome. It’s a very local thing, and we don’t really advertise what we do. People just hear about us from their neighbors or friends. We are just regular folks trying to keep the spirit of the ashram alive in our small corner of the world. It’s not always easy keeping the place running, but we make it work with what we have and the help of the village.
