Dhanasvi Welfare Foundation

Dhanasvi Welfare Foundation is situated in the village of Teai, over in the Begusarai district. We are at Kamini Devi’s place in the Takiya panchayat area. Begusarai is a big place, but our corner of it in Teai is quite specific. We are near the Dadpur post office. Our foundation is not something you would find in a skyscraper. It is a local setup, run by people who live right here. We deal with the kind of stuff that comes up in a village every day. We don't have a mission statement hanging on the wall or a board of directors in another city. It is just us trying to be helpful to the families around here. Sometimes the work is about education, and other times it is just about basic needs. We don't have a lot of funding, so we have to be smart about how we use what we have. People in Teai know they can just walk up and talk to us. We don't make them fill out a dozen forms before we listen to what they have to say. It is a very human way of doing things, and we prefer it that way. The village life keeps us busy with farming and other chores, so the foundation work fits in around all that. We are just a part of the local scenery, working away in Begusarai to keep things moving forward for everyone.
