Devendra Pramila Foundation

Devendra Pramila Foundation is based out of Village Fatehpur in the Nalanda district. You can find us right there near the post office. Nalanda is a place with a lot of history, but our daily life is pretty normal and down-to-earth. We are named after Devendra and Pramila, and that gives you an idea of the family feel we have here. We don’t have a corporate office with a receptionist. Usually, you’ll just find one of us working on whatever needs doing that day. The village of Fatehpur is where we grew up, so we feel a strong connection to the land and the people around us. Our work is mostly about helping out where we can. We don't have a big manual on how to do things; we just see a need and try to fill it. Sometimes it is about helping a neighbor, and other times it is about bigger village matters. The roads can be a bit rough getting here, especially when it rains, but we are always around. We don't spend money on advertising or big posters. Word of mouth is how most people find out about us. It is a simple life in Nalanda, and we are happy to be part of the local fabric. We just keep our heads down and do what we can, day in and day out, without any unnecessary fuss or fancy words.
