Craft Chaupal Council

Craft Chaupal Council is set up right in the Raja Bazar area of Patna. We are over at B/20 in Indra Purisaman Pura, which is a place many people recognize if they live around here. Suman Kumar Jain is the one who helps keep things moving along. Being in the New Capital part of Patna means there is always a lot of activity on the streets outside our door. We focus a lot on the idea of a chaupal, which is just a place where people gather to talk and share things. In our case, it is about crafts and local work. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything. It is more of an office where we organize things and meet with people who are interested in what we do. The area is quite crowded, and parking can be a real pain, but we like being where the action is. We have been operating from this spot for some time now. We aren't looking to become some massive brand. We just like the work and the people we meet through it. Every day is a bit different. Some days are quiet and we just handle paperwork, while other days are full of visitors and loud discussions about new projects. It feels like a real part of the neighborhood, not some detached business. We just take things one day at a time here in Raja Bazar and keep working.
