Birbal Smriti Seva Sansthan

Birbal Smriti Seva Sansthan is located in Pakri Barkhurdar, specifically on Madhurapur Road in the Bochahan block. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but it’s where we belong. We named the place in memory of Birbal, and we try to keep that spirit alive in what we do. The office is simple, just a room near the road where we keep our files and meet with people from the Hathauri police station area. We deal with all sorts of local issues, from health help to just helping someone fill out a form. Life in the block can be tough, especially during the flood season or when the crops aren't doing well. We try to be a place where people can come for advice or a little bit of support. We don't have any corporate funding or big grants. It’s just us and the local community chipping in. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the chairs are a bit squeaky, but that doesn't stop us. We talk to everyone who walks through the door, no matter who they are. It’s about service, plain and simple, without any hidden agendas. We just want to see our area improve a little bit every year. It’s slow going sometimes, but we are patient and we aren't in a hurry to be famous or anything like that.
