Anitabindeshwar Foundation

Our foundation is based in the village of Bhatha Dasi, within the Rajapakar North panchayat. We run things from the home of Bindeshwar Prasad Sharma. It is a family-oriented effort that we named Anitabindeshwar Foundation to honor our roots. This isn't a corporate business. It is more like a community project that grew out of our own experiences living here. In Rajapakar, people mostly look out for themselves, but sometimes that isn't enough when real trouble hits. We wanted to create a place where neighbors could turn for support without feeling like they are asking for a handout. We handle all sorts of things, from helping with local schools to organizing small community events. It is a bit disorganized at times because we all have our own jobs and families to look after too. We meet in the evenings or on weekends to figure out who needs help next. We don't have a fancy website or a big sign out front. Most people find out about us just by talking at the local shop or at the temple. We aren't trying to be famous or win awards. We just want to see our village thrive and our neighbors have a little less to worry about. It’s quiet, steady work done by people who have lived here their whole lives and plan to stay here for a long time. It is about building something that lasts.
