This is part of the Simri panchayat in the Simri Bakhtiyarpur block of Saharsa. It’s a bit of a distance from the main city, but we like it this way. Most of the folks working here are from the village itself. We focus on getting things done for the community without making too much noise about it. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we keep our files and meet. We drink a lot of tea and talk about how to get things moving. Bihar can be a tough place to get stuff started, but we don't mind the challenge. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or polished reports. We just do the work that needs doing every day. Sometimes we have to travel to other villages in the block to check on things. The roads aren't always great, especially after the monsoon season. We’ve had some setbacks over the years, but we just keep going. It’s a small operation, but we are right here in the 852127 area.
